Bordeaux
Bordeaux is one of the world's great historic wine regions. Organized around the Garonne and Dordogne rivers and the Gironde estuary, it brings together very different terroirs, from the Médoc to Saint-Émilion, and from Pomerol to the Graves and Sauternes areas.
Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc dominate the great Bordeaux reds, while Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Muscadelle give birth to dry and sweet white wines. Bordeaux thus offers a wide range of wines: structured reds capable of aging, fresh and aromatic whites, great sweet wines, or more accessible vintages. A region where the identity of the terroir and the art of blending occupy a central place.
