Description
The 2015 Château Bourgneuf is a Pomerol from a 9-hectare family vineyard located in the heart of the appellation. The property, held by the Vayron family since 1840, benefits from a gravel and clay terroir that is particularly well-suited to Merlot. The 2015 vintage is composed of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
The wine seduces with its deep and generous expression of fruit. The nose opens with ripe black fruit, plum, and blackberry, accompanied by notes of licorice, tobacco, and forest floor. On the palate, the texture is ample and concentrated, with ripe, structured tannins, but also a lovely freshness that brings balance to the whole.
Today, after several years of aging in the bottle, the wine offers us a particularly harmonious and complex expression. The magnum format is ideal for accompanying this slow and steady evolution.
