Fennel & Camomille 2023 - Château Climens

Fenouil & Camomille completes the range of dry white wines from Château Climens, a grand cru classé in Barsac, which has been in the hands of Bérénice Lurton since 1992, who initiated the transition of the estate to biodynamics in 2010.

The Fennel & Camomille cuvée (named after the estate's donkeys) is certified Vin Méthode Nature and is the result of a research project in the cellar born from the desire to reduce the doses of sulfur in the wine.

A pure Sémillon , from vines around fifteen years old, planted on ferruginous clay-sand soils over a fissured limestone base with asterias fossils. Vinification using indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks followed by aging in Wineglobe tanks on fine lees for 8 months.

A remarkably fresh, pure , and elegant dry white wine . Aromas of ripe white fruit lend a delightful richness , balanced by the freshness of the Barsac limestone.
