Lou Canoun - Mas Costeplane

The Lou Canoun cuvée is the most spontaneous and authentic expression of the Cannes-et-Clairan terroir, located on the Cévennes edge of the Languedoc. It comes from an original blend of Syrah, Carignan, and Merlot farmed biodynamically (Demeter certified). The estate favors a "natural" approach here, using indigenous yeast fermentation and a minimal dose of sulfur to preserve the fruit's original radiance.

Visually, the wine displays an intense ruby hue with purple highlights, clear and full of youth. The nose is an explosion of fresh red fruits (crushed strawberry, raspberry) and small black berries, enhanced by delectable notes of licorice and violet.

On the palate, Lou Canoun stands out for its fluidity and highly digestible character. The attack is round and fleshy, revealing a supple texture and a very soft, almost imperceptible tannic structure. A lovely tangy freshness carries the wine, lending it remarkable straightness and drinkability. The finish is clean and crisp, leaving a sensation of a basket of fresh fruit.
