Description
The Las Lamas 2012 cuvée comes from a unique terroir located in Corullón, characterized by clay-limestone soils mixed with decomposed schist.
The 2012 vintage was marked by a certain dryness, offering a wine that is more sunny and generous than in previous years. Through biodynamic viticulture, this gently sloping, southeast-facing terroir produces a Mencía of rare phenolic concentration.
On tasting, the wine reveals a dark ruby color. The nose is powerful and sunny, marked by ripe black fruits (cherry, plum), notes of dark chocolate, and a deep earthy framework. Aging in new barrels is perfectly integrated, providing a velvety structure.
On the palate, the wine is fleshy, ample, with ripe tannins and an almost creamy texture. The finish is long, warm, yet balanced by the ferrous minerality of the soil.
