Description
The Coeur de Canne is the signature emblem of the family-owned La Favorite distillery, one of the last remaining independent institutions in Martinique. This aged rum has rested patiently for 4 years in oak barrels, under the tropical climate of Martinique.
This aged rum strikes a masterful balance between the freshness of the cane and the indulgence of the wood, with a warm nose of dried fruits (apricot, date), bourbon vanilla, and a hint of light tobacco.
On the palate, one finds richness and woodiness, with flavors of gingerbread, dark chocolate, and toasted hazelnuts blending with the natural sweetness of the cane.
The finish is elegant, lightly spiced, with a woody length that recalls the distillery's old aging cellars.
La Favorite continues to distill its rums using the power of steam thanks to a steam engine dating back to 1906, a process unique in the world!
