Chianti Superiore 2020 - Poggiotondo

The 2020 Chianti Superiore from Poggiotondo is a predominant blend of Tuscany's king grape variety, Sangiovese, accompanied by a touch of Canaiolo and Colorino.

Hand-harvested, 100% destemmed, fermentation using indigenous yeasts then aged in unburned 54hL casks.

The result is a very pretty Chianti Superiore with an intense nose of violet, red berries, cherry, raspberry, blueberry.

The palate is full, with more tertiary aromas of spices, notably black pepper, cloves, and a hint of cinnamon. A wine of very fine balance and great length.
