Brouilly Pierreux 2024 - Pierre-Marie Chermette

Brouilly - Red - 13.0 % - 75 cL

Domaine Chermette is a family-run winery dating back to the 17th century, located in Saint-Vérand, in the southern Beaujolais region . Taken over in 2023 by Jean-Etienne Chermette, the estate combines tradition and modernity to produce quality wines while innovating with new grape varieties (Pinot Noir, Viognier, Syrah) and modernizing the estate's image.

Brouilly is the southernmost of the Beaujolais crus, located in the heart of the vineyard and possessing a distinctly Beaujolais character. The Domaine Chermette plot, situated at the foot of Mont Brouilly, is composed of granite scree resulting from the erosion of this hill, which imparts a straightforward and pure structure to the wine on the palate.

Hand- harvested, traditional Beaujolais winemaking with maceration Semi-carbonic maceration of whole bunches with indigenous yeasts. This is followed by aging for 6 to 8 months in old oak casks .

Initially, the nose is floral, with violet notes, then deep aromas of ripe fruit gradually reveal themselves.

The palate is both delicate and full-bodied . Beautiful, pure, and precise structure built on rounded tannins . The finish is long and fresh.
