Vigo 2014 - Romeo del Castello

The Romeo del Castello estate, located on the northern slope of Mount Etna , belongs to Chiara Vigo and Beatrice Romeo . These winemakers cultivate their vines at the foot of the volcano using biodynamic methods on lava soils, at an altitude of 700 meters, where Nerello Mascalese expresses incomparable finesse.

A blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio , naturally vinified in stainless steel tanks, then aged in barrels for 12 months. Limited production, without artifice.

Light ruby ​​robe. Subtle nose of cherry , pomegranate , volcanic smoke and fine spices . Slender, mineral and vibrant palate, with delicate tannins and a saline finish.
