The Solà Classic 2010 comes from old vines (over 30 years old) cultivated on the Mas Hereu estate, dating back to 1777, located in Bellmunt del Priorat. The soils are typical of Priorat: schistous, steep, and poor , resulting in concentrated grapes and wines of great intensity. The Barceló family, owners of the estate, practice traditional, manual viticulture , with hand-harvesting and rigorous selection of the grapes. The wine is vinified without oak aging, with extended bottle aging (36 months) to preserve the pure expression of the fruit and terroir.
The 2010 vintage marked a significant improvement in the quality of Solà Classic wines, with a perfect balance between freshness, concentration and minerality , typical of the great wines of Priorat.
Intense and complex nose, with dominant aromas of ripe red and black fruits (black cherry, blackberry, plum), sweet spices (cinnamon, pepper), punctuated by balsamic and mineral notes.
On the palate, the attack is powerful and fresh , with a well-integrated tannic structure and lively acidity that provides balance. The flavors evolve towards ripe fruit, spices, and mineral notes.
The finish is long and persistent , marked by a minerality typical of Priorat and a balsamic touch.
