Southern Sierra 2021 - Gramenon

Domaine Gramenon, in Montbrison-sur-Lez, is a benchmark for natural wine in the Rhône Valley . Michèle Aubéry-Laurent and her son Maxime-François Laurent cultivate their vines biodynamically , producing sincere and precise wines that faithfully reflect their terroirs.

The Sierra du Sud 2021 vintage comes from the Montbrizon plateau at an altitude of 350m . The vines benefit from a cool climate, producing an elegant and fresh Syrah , typical of the Gramenon style.

Hand-harvested, natural winemaking with indigenous yeasts , whole-cluster maceration for part of the harvest and Aged partly in tanks and partly in barrels for approximately 7 months. No chemical additives, no filtration or fining, just a light touch of sulfur at bottling.

The 2021 vintage is marked by a perfect balance between ripe fruit, freshness and mineral tension , giving a wine that is both delicious and precise.

Intense nose of wild blackberry , violet , black pepper and olive .
The palate combines juicy black fruit , spices , silky tannins and saline minerality .
A persistent and slightly smoky finish, a signature of the estate's limestone soils.
