Roccabella 2019 - Eugenio Bocchino

Roccabella 2019 - Eugenio Bocchino

Langhe Nebbiolo - Red - 13.5 % - 75 cL

  • Organic, Biodynamic

Eugenio Bocchino and his wife Cinzia Pelazza have been based in La Morra, in the heart of the Barolo vineyards, since the mid-1990s. On their 5.5 hectares of vineyards, divided into 7 plots, they produce several cuvées from the Nebbiolo and Barbera grape varieties on clay-limestone and sandy soils, all worked naturally.

Roccabella 2019 is a pure Nebbiolo from a 1.5-hectare plot of the same name, facing south and southeast on steep slopes. Vines were planted in 2000 at a density of 5,500 vines per hectare. Natural vinification with a 4-month maceration in stainless steel tanks.

Aged in 25 and 32hl casks for 12 months followed by 8 months in bottle before leaving the estate. Total production: 6000 bottles.

A delicate, rosy-red robe. The nose exudes notes of strawberries and roses with a hint of sanguine and animal character. The palate is flavorful and smooth with firm yet supple and well-integrated tannins. A lovely aromatic finish.
