Palhete 2022 - Casa de Mouraz

A pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in Portugal , Casa de Mouraz was founded by António Lopes Ribeiro and Sara Dionísio in the heart of the Dão , a mountainous and granite region in the center of the country.
The couple cultivate their old vines using polyculture , surrounded by forests and olive trees, with a deep respect for biodiversity.
The wines, made naturally without additives, reflect the purity, freshness and mineral energy of the Dão terroirs.
Between tradition and contemporary sensibility, Casa de Mouraz embodies a living, vibrant and sincere Dão .

The Palhete 2022 is a modern interpretation of a traditional Portuguese style: a red and white coplantation wine, made from a gentle pressing of red ( Jaen, Alfrocheiro, Touriga Nacional ) and white ( Encruzado, Bical, Malvasia Fina ) grape varieties grown together on granitic soils.
Made naturally, without additives, this light and vibrant wine illustrates the purity and freshness typical of the Dão.

Light ruby ​​color. Fresh nose of crisp red fruits , wild strawberry , wild rose and orange zest .
Juicy, airy and slightly saline on the palate, with a perfect balance between fruit, acidity and lightness .
A thirst-quenching wine, but with a real mineral depth.
