MULASSANO - Mulassano Vermouth Rosso - 18%
- Italie - 75 cL
Opened in the mid-19th century, the Mulassano café was a meeting place for Turin's artists, politicians, and writers. Its founder, Amilcare Mulassano, along with distiller Pietro Bordiga, invented an original vermouth recipe . Today, Mulassano vermouth still adheres to this recipe, and is now being released outside its city of origin for the first time.
A delicate, subtle nose. Its notes of green apple and freshly cut grass evolve into barley porridge and star anise. It develops with dried fruit (apple) and cinnamon. Evokes the scent of vetiver.
Mouth Round and full-bodied, it reveals notes of citrus (orange, clementine), spices (pepper) and flowers (lily). It is enhanced with a touch of salt and green walnut.
Final Long and luscious. Ripe pear mingles with red fruits (blackcurrant, morello cherry). It evolves with notes of green almond and aromatic herbs (thyme, savory). The retro-nasal aroma returns strongly with notes of malted barley.
