Les Frieys 2017 - Domaine du Pas de l'Escalette

Located in Larzac , between Millau and Montpellier, the Domaine du Pas de l'Escalette is run by Julien and Delphine Zernott , pioneers of organic and biodynamic viticulture in the Terrasses du Larzac .
Their vineyard, perched at an altitude of 350–400 meters, rests on limestone scree which provides exceptional freshness.
The wines, precise and easy to digest, combine the Mediterranean ripeness of the fruit with a unique mineral energy .

Magnificent plot of land in small terraces planted with Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre.
It is one and the same individual, all the grapes are harvested on the same day and co-fermented , then aged in a 600 l.

Aromas of candied red fruits , spices , dried herbs and smoky minerality . An ethereal palate with polished tannins, tension and elegance.
