Jurançon Moelleux 2024 - Clos Lapeyre
Jurançon moelleux - Soft White - 13.0 % - 75 cL
Biological
Located in the Jurançon hills (Béarn), Clos Lapeyre produces dry and sweet white wines from organically grown vines on puddingstone soils. Each cuvée – the result of indigenous yeasts, minimal intervention, and a remarkable terroir – expresses the freshness of the Pyrenees and the minerality of its unique soil.
Blend of 2/3 Gros Manseng and 1/3 Petit Manseng, hand-harvested in 2 passes (bunches or parts of bunches), between approximately October 15 and November 15 — very ripe grapes, sometimes raisined. Partial alcoholic fermentation: fermentation is stopped to retain residual sugars (~60-70 g/L) while preserving acidity and freshness, then aged in tanks on lees.
An expressive nose dominated by aromas of pineapple and white flowers .
Smooth, fresh and well-balanced on the palate between sugar and acidity , typical of a successful sweet Jurançon.
The finish is brightly fruity, showing a lovely vivacity and a mineral structure linked to the altitude of the vineyard.
