Description
La Forge Tranquille 2023 is a cuvée with character, crafted by Catherine and Frédéric Roger at the Sagesse des Sols estate in Martigné-Briand, Anjou. Produced from Cabernet Franc, it comes from vines grown using organic farming methods on sandstone schist and quartz soils, terroirs that bring freshness, finesse, and depth to the estate's wines.
This cuvée reveals all the elegance of Loire Valley Cabernet Franc. The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, and ripe red fruits, accompanied by delicate spicy and floral notes.
The palate is supple and balanced, carried by fine tannins and a beautiful freshness. The fruit is expressed with precision, offering a wine that is both indulgent, structured, and very easy-drinking. The finish, long and harmonious, perfectly reflects the identity of great Anjou reds.
At the table, La Forge Tranquille is an ideal pairing for grilled meats, roasted poultry, slow-cooked dishes, seasonal vegetables, or aged goat cheeses.
