Elfa 2013 - Casa de Mouraz
Elfa 2013 - Casa de Mouraz
Dão - Red - 14.0 % - 75 cL
The flagship cuvée of the Casa de Mouraz estate, Elfa comes from a century-old plot of old vines planted in interplanting (more than 30 native Portuguese varieties, including Jaen , Touriga Nacional , Alfrocheiro , Baga , Tinta Roriz , and other forgotten ones).
Grown biodynamically on granite and clay soils, the vine produces a vibrant wine, with rare aromatic depth and mineral elegance .
The 2013 vintage, both fresh and structured, delivers here a pure and timeless interpretation of Dão.
An enchanting nose of ripe red fruits , sweet spices , violet , thyme and damp earth .
On the palate, the wine is silky, taut, long and complex .
The tannins are fine, the texture fluid, and the mineral finish evokes warm stone and forest.
A red of balance and emotion, between contained power and grace.
