Château Martinat 2022

Stéphane & Lucie Donze took over this abandoned estate in 1994 and since then they have been able to make the most of their plots on 11ha located in Lansac, on the right bank, where Merlot is found on its preferred terroirs.

This vintage is the main wine of the estate, made from 80% Merlot and 20% Malbec, all harvested by hand.
After fermentation in temperature-controlled concrete tanks which lasts about 3 weeks, the different batches are aged for 14 months in oak barrels and then blended before bottling.

This Château Martinat 2022 is a lovely wine from the right bank of Bordeaux with its dark purple color, an expressive nose of red and black fruits, blackcurrant, morello cherry.
On the palate, the tannins are ripe and silky, accompanied by woody notes that blend subtly.
