Description
The Château du Mayne Rouge 2020 is a beautiful expression of the Graves appellation, crafted by Caroline and Xavier Perromat on gravel and limestone soils typical of the south of Bordeaux. This particularly sunny vintage has given birth to a generous, precise, and delicious wine, combining fruit ripeness with natural freshness.
Made from a balanced blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, this Graves seduces with its expressive bouquet of ripe strawberry, cherry, blackcurrant, and small dark fruits. Upon aeration, delicate spicy and woody notes appear, adding complexity and elegance to the whole.
The palate is round, velvety, and harmonious. The tannins are supple and perfectly integrated, supporting a generous structure where ripe fruit, freshness, and finesse mingle. The 12-month aging process, carried out partly in French oak barrels, provides depth without masking the brightness of the fruit.
Accessible today, this red Graves will perfectly accompany grilled meats, slow-cooked dishes, roasted poultry, or aged cheeses. An authentic, elegant, and convivial Bordeaux, true to the spirit of the great wines of Graves.
