Champsaurel 2020 - Maxime-François Laurent

The 2020 Champsaurel is by Maxime François-Laurent, who is none other than the son of Michelle Aubéry of the renowned Domaine Gramenon. For his wines, Maxime buys grapes from fellow winemakers who work with the same approach, using biodynamic methods and respecting the terroir.

This cuvée is made from 75% Grenache Noir and the remainder Syrah. The grapes are macerated in concrete vats during the 15 days of alcoholic fermentation, and then the wine continues to age in these same vats for 6 months.

This is a generous and luscious wine, with a dense, purplish color and a fruity (blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry) and spicy nose, with hints of garrigue. The palate is rich and full, but its freshness maintains the overall lusciousness.
