The Chablis 1er Cru La Fourchaume from Domaine Bessin-Tremblay is one of the estate's flagship wines and one of the most renowned vineyard sites in Chablis. Located at the northernmost edge of the appellation, this terroir produces structured, profound, and generous wines, while retaining the tension and minerality characteristic of great Chablis.

The La Fourchaume vineyard, a direct neighbor of the Grands Crus, benefits from favorable exposure and Kimmeridgian soils rich in calcareous marl. It produces wines that are fuller and more structured than the average Premier Cru, with excellent aging potential.

Chardonnay grown on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils rich in marine fossils. Hand- harvested, fermented in vats and barrels using indigenous yeasts. Long aging on fine lees (approximately 15 to 18 months), with very limited use of oak.

The result is a Premier Cru with a beautiful robe Pale ale with golden highlights. An expressive and complex nose, with ripe white fruits , citrus , white flowers, with mineral and slightly smoky notes.

On the palate, it is ample and structured , with a beautiful density of substance supported by a saline freshness. The balance between power and tension is remarkable. The finish is long, persistent, and mineral , a signature of the La Fourchaume terroir.

A family-owned estate located in La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne, Domaine Bessin-Tremblay is renowned for the consistency and precision of its wines. The vineyard, covering approximately 12 hectares, is divided between Chablis Village, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru appellations.
The estate prioritizes careful viticulture, controlled yields and traditional winemaking, with long and measured aging, in order to faithfully reveal the identity of each climate.
