Description
Barbiana is an authentic Manzanilla Pasada produced by the historic Delgado Zuleta winery in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, in the heart of the Sherry triangle. Made from 100% Palomino Fino and aged for approximately 5 years under a veil of flor using the traditional criaderas y solera system, this cuvée expresses all the saline and maritime finesse of great Andalusian wines.
The brilliant golden-yellow color precedes an intense nose with notes of fresh almond, citrus, yeast, and hazelnut, with a light touch reminiscent of Amontillado. On the palate, the wine is dry, vibrant, and remarkably savory, carried by a supple texture and a long saline finish typical of great Manzanillas from Sanlúcar.
Aged longer than a classic Manzanilla, Barbiana develops greater depth and complexity while retaining its characteristic iodized freshness. An essential reference for lovers of flor-aged wines and great Andalusian gastronomic wines.
