"Cuvée 1866" 2023 - Château Bragelone
Bordeaux Supérieur - Red - 13.0% -
"Cuvée 1866" comes from Château Bragelone, located in Salignac, on the right bank of the Bordeaux River. The estate, run by Émilie and Nicolas Contiero, cultivates its vines on clay-limestone soil, with areas of silt. Respect for the soil and environmental practices (agroforestry, mechanical cultivation, reduced use of chemicals, etc.) are at the heart of their approach.
A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, this vintage is vinified entirely in barrels, giving it lovely woody and vanilla aromas without being too pronounced, with notes of blackberry and blackcurrant. The palate is powerful and deep with well-present tannins and persistent fruit and wood aromas.
