Barbera d'Alba Majano 2017 - Piero Busso

The 2017 Barbera d'Alba "Majano" is a distinctive vintage produced by the Piero Busso estate, located in Neive, in the heart of Piedmont. Made from organically grown vines on marl-limestone soils, this wine reflects the technical rigor and artisanal expertise of the Busso family.

The 2017 vintage is distinguished by a remarkable aromatic concentration, the result of a hot and dry year which allowed optimal ripeness of the berries while preserving the natural acidity of the grape variety.

On tasting, the wine displays a deep ruby ​​color with violet highlights. The nose is clean and precise , marked by intense aromas of black fruit (black cherry, blackberry) complemented by subtle notes of spice and licorice . The skillful aging process provides a solid structure without masking the purity of the fruit.

On the palate, the attack is direct and dynamic, supported by a characteristic acidic tension that ensures excellent drinkability. The tannins are silky and the persistent finish underlines the quality of the extraction.
