The Red Stones 2022 - Léon Boesch

Les Pierres Rouges is the estate's only 100% Sylvaner cuvée, produced from a small 1-hectare plot planted on the pink sandstone slopes surrounding the village from which it derives its name and character. The grapes were harvested by hand on three different dates. Fermentation took place in large oak casks using indigenous yeasts, and the wine was then aged for one year in these casks on its lees.
This Sylvaner reveals an elegant and complex nose of spices, white flowers, flint, thyme, and grapefruit. The palate is easy to drink and lively, supported by an elegant freshness that carries the wine through to its finish of greengage and mirabelle plums.
A true thirst-quenching wine, it can be enjoyed with seafood or charcuterie (parsley ham, head cheese), served at 10°C.
